Expand Yourself

My 6 year old daughter walked up to the high-dive platform at the local swimming pool. She stood there on the edge -about 8 feet from the roof of the huge indoor building. She looked down and waved at me. I swallowed hard.

Everybody in the place (actually about 80%) was looking at her gasping. She was so small. Like a little baby.

She jumps feet-first, hits the water, then swims to the surface. When she gets there she screams "I did it!!!"

To my daughter -the whole world is an opportunity. She doesn't see any down-side. She took a risk. Yes maybe she was naïve but she could still see how far it was down there!

I learned about taking risks from her. She has courage and uses it to expand her world. Her world is pretty big.

Do you feel like your world is shrinking? Do you feel like your opportunities are small?

Then take a risk! Go for it!
