Breakthroughs happen when we least expect it.
My client was telling me today about how he wanted to change his coaching contract with me because he didn't have enough money coming in. That could be cause for alarm for most coaches but my mentor Steve Chandler always tells me to serve people -no matter what! It's not about the fee it's about serving and really making a difference. So I let go of the fear of loss in that moment and focused on my client.
As the conversation progressed I realized that he was shrinking and not expanding. I just don't support shrinking in any way, shape, or form. I told him this. I said that he could definitely change his plan or even cancel his agreement with me -that that would be just fine with me but wouldn't serve him in the least.
I asked him where else in his life he is shrinking. He started to look at other areas and the lights went on. I think when he started tearing up I had happened upon a very special place in his life. The inquiry was not lost and as the conversation went on I started feeling pure love in my heart for him. I knew that I was serving him.
My client came away from that conversation transformed and ready to expand himself and take his business to the next level. Instead of looking at his situation like it was hopeless -he looked at it like an opportunity.
Today... no matter WHAT is going on for you in your business. I invite you to take a look at all those things that appear to be negative and foreboding and welcome them with open arms. Ask the question "How is this the BEST thing to happen to me?" or "How can I USE this situation and leverage it to get to where I want to go?"
