Don't Cheapen Your Fellow Man

"If you give a man something he hasn't earned -you cheapen him." -Coach Woody Hayes

Every time I work with Coaches and Consultants that discount their services or give people a break on the fee -it ends up being lots of work for them and never turns into what they really want.

That's because they cheapen the person. It is NEVER a win for someone to NOT pay you. Ever.

I remember when I was going to my church and not paying anything. I would put like $5 into the offering bag and that's it. Then I studied the phenomenal principle of giving from a spiritual perspective and started giving to my church first. Not only did I have breakthroughs financially but I became more involved in my church as well!

There's something about giving money that works with having a person be committed. It is because they had to give something for that money. They had to work or plan or do whatever it was they had to do to get it. Now when they give it away they are giving away part of themselves. There is value attached to the money.

When we perceive that there is more value "over there" than the amount of money we are holding "over here" then we give up our money to get the value that's "over there."

Provide really powerful and useful value to people to get their money. Then keep providing it to keep getting their money. It's just logical!

When you provide value to people who aren't giving you money you make that person a cheapskate and they HAVE TO lessen THEIR value to meet what you are giving them. Therefore when you take a stand for them to pay the fee they rise to the occasion and become more powerful than originally thought!
