Slumps...

Sometimes human beings get into slumps.

What is a slump? It means to decrease, decline, or deteriorate.

There's nothing wrong with slumps -they just happen. What's wrong is when we make it mean something other than what it really is -a slump! Slumps don't mean anything but if we ignore that we can really get into trouble.

Here are three things you can do when you hit a slump...

1. Be aware... you can't change what you don't acknowledge so get busy and acknowledge your slump. Look at the decline, decrease, or deterioration as nothing more than exactly what it is. Have a conversation with someone you trust about it -right away!

2. Think about a WIN you had in your life... it's true that whatever we focus on expands so one of the best ways to get out of a slump is to focus on the opposite -when things were growing -when YOU were growing! If you want growth than focus on how you have grown. Look to a recent breakthrough you had in your life and let the joy of that over power you!

3. Get back to what works... regroup. I always like to grab a notepad and start to write out my plans for what I want to create. I get in touch with my creative side. I listen to an old audio book that inspired me or read a book that always seems to put me in a winning mood or space. MAKE yourself do it because resistance will be quite high and you will want to camp out in despair. Refuse to lose -live to win!
