I've written about change before but the process never ceases to amaze me!
My family and I are moving into a new house next month and my kids are dealing with the changes. My wife -Laurene- is a master at the change process and I'm loving seeing her work them all through it.
The process can be remembered by the acronym OREO (like the cookie).
O-Objection (each kid says "but I don't want to move!" or "no!")
R-Reduced Consciousness (After a day they pretend that it's not going to happen)
E-Exploration (My son is now looking at the new school and finding things he likes)
O-On Board (Pretty soon they will all accept the new reality and choose it)
Knowing that this is the process can really take the stress away from you. Before you introduce a change do some research to see what are the good points of the change so you can help your people get the explore stage asap.
