There Is No Such Thing As Stress In The Present...

I said this to a client yesterday: Stress only happens when you are either living in the future or living in the past; it's never when you are living in the present moment.

That blew him away and left me surprised at his reaction. Then when I was driving home I really got that. I've been letting that insight really take root in me over the last couple of days and I love it!

Whenever I am feeling stress I now know where to look. I can ask myself "Is my mind fixed and set on something in the future that I am convinced is GOING to happen to me (something negative) or is it fixed and set on something in the past that I want to erase?"

Once I identify this then I can get complete with it and move on.

Right now I may be worried about where my next dollar is going to come from or how I will support my family -I think it is useful to know that is where my mind is. Now what I want to do is design actions around what I WANT TO BRING INTO EXISTENCE instead of the default existence -the one that says I won't be able to make it. I want to ask myself "What 3 actions can I take RIGHT NOW in the present to create what I want?"
