Business Coaching Doesn't Work If...

Business Coaching WILL NOT WORK if you think it is a magic pill that by swallowing it will make all of your business problems go away. Actually, Business Coaching isn't even about making problems go away at all!

Some of my clients get the idea that by hiring a Business Coach that their issues with their business will disappear. This is like saying because you bought a membership to a gym that your fat will disappear! That's crazy!

In the same way that you have to get up in the morning, get into your car, drive to the gym, and work your butt off -in the same way- you have to create an impossible future, accept the fact that you have NO CLUE how to get there, commit to get there, grab your phone, CALL YOUR BUSINESS COACH and ASK FOR COACHING! It is no different!

Coaching is miraculous in how it assists you in getting to where you want to be but it does require something from the coachee. It requires that the coachee be COACHABLE! Be willing to completely alter the way he goes about his business, and be willing to become a rookie again. It is for giants. It is for the most courageous of leaders! It is for people that are committed to a goal that so much bigger than themselves!

Only cowards refuse coaching. People who are playing small in life don't ever need a coach. They know what they can do and go ahead and do it. They really think that this way of living life is serving them and others. It never does. What serves humanity is when you create a possibility in your life that has previously been thought unattainable! This is what makes life worth it! Like when Roger Bannister thought running the 4 min mile was possible -once he did this he made running a 4 minute mile possible for ALL of humanity. Up until then it wasn't possible. That is how creating a possibility serves humanity. Possibilities are never private -they are always public.

If you want a coach because it is fashionable or to look good -please don't waste your time. The coach will only annoy you if you aren't committed to really playing big in your life. You will get really ticked off (that is if the coach is any good!).

I would only engage a coach if you want to really create something powerful and serve humanity. And why not? -It's just more fun!
