You have control over proposals you make -not results.
It's amazing to me how many of my clients focus on results. Although results are great they don't have direct control over that.
For example, if I want to lose 100 lbs. then I would first of all break down my eating and exercise into bite size chunks. I want to focus on PROCESS goals instead of RESULTS goals. So I have direct control over how many sit-ups I do or hours I spend on the treadmill but I don't have control over how many calories I burn or how much fat I lose. The former are process goals and the latter are results goals.
So if I want to boost my sales then I get out there into the world and start to make proposals. I create them and hand them out and ask and request people to take on coaching for their organizations.
The more proposals I make (process goals) the more clients I get (results goals).
So take a look at everything you are engaged in and see if you are focused on results. Now you can shift your focus from that towards process goals. Figure out which process goals would get you the results you want and use them!
