I'm amazed at how us human beings continually operate in life as though not honouring our word doesn't really matter all that much. It's a blind spot.
Remember that honouring your word doesn't mean keeping your word -but it includes that. It's not a problem when we don't keep our word -only when we don't honour it. People are counting on you and I to do something. If we don't communicate with them that we aren't going to do the something that we said we would do -that becomes an issue.
If people know that they can't count on you then they can make other plans but if they are counting on you and you don't deliver -THAT is what causes the upset.
