Choosing What Is...

Resistence is THE biggest enemy of humanity that was ever invented.

It will keep even the most astute worker in mediocrity forever!

How I work with resistence is that I choose it! When we choose "what is" we empower ourselves and create possibility all over our lives.

Choosing what is creates a space for us to create.

It's not that you have cancer -it's that you're resisting cancer.

It's not that your father died -it's that you're resisting the fact that your father died.

It's not that your spouse is divorcing you -it's that you are resisting your spouse divorcing you.

It's not that your company suffered a loss last quarter -it's that you are resisting that your company suffered a loss last quarter.

I'm not saying that we blindly accept these things and do nothing about them I am suggesting that we actually CHOOSE them and then work to create something else in our life. As long as you are resisting you are empowering the very thing you are resisting.

When someone states their opinion -try this- CHOOSE their opinion. On purpose. Just choose it. You don't have to agree with it, adapt it, call it your own, just choose it. Say in your mind "I choose this opinion." Then watch what happens to you. You relax. You get the other person's world. The discomfort or disagreement goes away.

Why?

It's because: "Whatever you resist -you empower."

Bruce Lee said to "be like water." Which means to obsorb the context of the vessel but remain wet! Water is able to inhabit any shape and in that fact alone it is powerful. Water never stops being water.

So go ahead and choose that cancer. Now all of a sudden you are a person who has cancer not cancer that has a person! The person becomes powerful here and the cancer becomes secondary. There is no more power struggle.

Choose your business exactly the way it is and the way it isn't. Once you do -now you can create something instead of fight against something or try to fix something. The first action is powerful the last two there are burdensome and counter-productive.

Choose life!
