The Stand...

The first distinct and ongoing act of a true revolutionary is their stand.

The stand is the most powerful act a human can do. It is creative and generative.

When I say a stand I mean the act of giving yourself over to a solution to a HUGE problem. The stand is an immovable space to operate and come FROM. It is not a place to GET TO. And did I mention that the problem has to be huge?

For example, Gandhi's problem was the invasion and rule of Britain. It was the ongoing rule of Britain and India losing it's sovereignty. This was a huge problem for him and his fellow countrymen. So Gandhi took a stand: "The British will walk out of India." he said. And they did -30 years later!

That is power. Power is when you say something and it happens. People who don't have power use force and the two are polar opposites by the way!

So what problems do you see out in the world? I invite you to take a look.

Find something that moves you -that causes you to be angry or passionate or both!

Now ask this question: Who would I need to be in order to eliminate this problem? Or, who would I need to become?

Gandhi needed to be the person who led his people in non-violence to take a stand for their country.

Martin Luther King Jr. needed to be someone who motivated others to think about equality among the races so he took a stand for unity among all people. WHO HE WAS WAS THE FUTURE OF UNITY. That's how he "showed up" in the world. When he woke up in the morning he WAS his stand. EVERYDAY!

Declare yourself as your stand and LIVE FROM THIS PLACE.

You will feel more alive than ever!
