How Your Fear Won't Seem So Big

"So what do you really want to do?" I asked my client -after he just confessed to me how he didn't want to do his current work.

"I really want to sell Real Estate." He said.

"So what's holding you back?" I inquired.

"Well.. nothing. I've purchased the Real Estate course but I'm scared of not being a success so I'm finding it very difficult to move forward." He confessed.

I told him that he isn't doing his course because he's not committed. Then I asked him what he would need to do to be committed. He told me that he would need to register for the final exam and that would have him really study.

So I told him that we were going back to his office right now and he was going to call the University and register for the program. I told him that I would not be going anywhere or doing anything until he was fully registered and had a plan in place. That was what I was committed to today. He was clearly frightened but loved it at the same time.

So we go back to his office (from having lunch) and it took 30mins for him to register. Then after he did that I asked him what he learnt.

He said, "When I'm in action I can really feel like I can do it! My fear doesn't seem so big!"

Well said Bob. Well said!

Listen to Bob: When you are in action you will really feel like you can do it and your fear won't seem so big!
